Polpo – I visited Polpo for dinner a couple of weekends a go in Covent Garden. There are three more situated in London, one in Notting Hill, Soho & Chelsea. Polpo is a bàcaro. This is a Venetian word to describe a humble restaurant serving simple food and good, young Italian wines. They offer lots of delicious small plates, perfect for sharing which means you get to try a variety of dishes. We decided to choose a number of dishes. Highlights being the lamb and slow roast garlic meatballs which melted in your mouth and tasted absolutely delicious. I never thought a favourite of mine would be a vegetarian dish, however the squash, gnocchi, sage & walnut butter I totally would recommend.
