Little Bird Restaurant, Battersea

Little Bird bar & restaurant is located on Battersea Rise, described as an ‘urban oasis’. It felt like I was in a tropical conservatory, filled with palm trees, hand-painted wallpaper, hanging plants, trinkets and cushions that I would love to fill my flat with. You will feel as though you are dining in some exotic place as it doesn’t feel like you are in London. We sat in the main dining room inside where it’s full of bamboo hanging lights however you can sit outside on the patio on a sunny day with yet more palm trees and white antique garden chairs.

We started off with a cocktail each. They have happy hour in the evening 5-7 during the week. The cocktails were spot on, we enjoyed an amaretto sour and a gin fizz. They were so beautifully presented.

Little Bird serves Asian-inspired cuisine with a Mediterranean twist. The dishes were tapas size, therefore we chose a selection of dishes to share. Highlights for me being the grilled shrimp tacos with avocado & asian slaw, delicious and fresh. For you crab lovers, the crab arancini is worth ordering. The black cod was nice and tender and cooked to perfection. Of course, we had to order a curry, the lamb rendang with coconut rice.

For dessert we enjoyed the raspberry & pistachio pavlova and the donuts with salted caramel sauce, actual heaven.

This is the perfect dinner spot for a catch up with friends, some mid week cocktails or a date night. I can’t wait to return and try the rest of the menu, the food is exceptionally good.
