The Best Of 2016

I won’t try and summarise everything I’ve done in 2016 in one chunky paragraph – but instead I’ve broken my year down a little more. I love being able to look back and see what I got up to. It’s been a year of so many memories, amazing travels and good friends, and I wouldn’t have changed a thing.

Travel: As you may already know I love to travel, it’s my favourite thing to do. As much as I love revisiting places, I also love exploring new places. I have definitely ticked off more of Europe (including falling in love with Amsterdam & Barcelona) and heading back to the Big Apple which was incredible. A highlight was road tripping round Puglia in Italy (check out my blog post here) with Jonny for a couple of weeks and also not forgetting our yearly trip to Fethiye. On top of that, I also managed to tick off a little more of the U.K, visiting Manchester and the Lake District (blog post here) which is just a beautiful part of the country. Here’s to even more exciting travels in 2017, a trip to San Sebastian is one I’m especially looking forward too!People: This year I’ve been lucky enough to get to know and make some new friends, as well as cherish some of my bests and older friends too. With living in London and it being very fast paced I know I can be quite tricky to pin down – so knowing who is, and will always be there has been so important. I’ve realised it’s not the quantity of friends you have, but the quality. Being able to watch my three nephews grow and be the best version of an auntie has been amazing, also having Jonny (my boyfriend), my parents, siblings and grandparents who are without a doubt the biggest support in which I’m very lucky to have. They’re all very special to me and I know how important it is to prioritise time to see those we love and give them our time.Blogging/Food: As always, in 2016 I ate a lot of food as you can see on my instagram. Some of the pictures below are only a handful of some of my favourites from the year. I started my blog and social media channel this year as a hobby as I love to eat out, try new food, different cuisines and lastly meet people that have the same passion as me. These platforms have given me the opportunities to eat at restaurants that are newly opened in London, sampling the launch of new menus, trying brunch/supper clubs and going to events where I get to network with people with similar interests as me. Here’s to what 2017 has to bring!Life: There was plenty of other life stuff that went on in 2016, too. In the Spring our close friends got married, we enjoyed a couple of summer festivals and made the most of living in London!

Hope you all had some great moments in 2016. Wishing you all a very happy, healthy and wonderful 2017 🙂

xx
