The Big Feastival

I was thrilled to have gone to this years Big Feastival for the day last Saturday at Alex James’ Farm in the Cotswold with my boyfriend Jonny and lucky for us, the sun even came with us too. We first scouted the festival to see what there was going on and us being foodies, in our heads picked out what food caught our eye. There really was something for everyone, it was full of incredible music, wine tasting, book signings, cooking classes & demonstrations, every kind of delicious food you can imagine,  and a packed programme of kids entertainment.

Time flies when you’re having fun, but here’s a few snaps from an amazing weekend in the Cotswold. I already can’t wait for next years festival.

It’s foodies paradise at The Big Feastival, we basically did a ‘food crawl’ at each place. We started off with a Shakeshack cheese burgers which were delicious, before heading to the Brancott Estate tent for some wine tasting.

Throughout the afternoon, in to the evening we headed to some of my favourite food stands, some that I’ve tried before and some new ones. Highlights being the honey butter chicken burger from Other Side Fried, halloumi fries from Oli Babas and lastly an epic cheese toastie from The Cheese Truck. We also watched Rick & Jack Stein cooking up a storm in a cooking demonstration, watched people do yoga and enjoyed a couple of G&T’s at the Simpsmith tent.

Come 5pm, the gin and beers started flowing, we bumped in to some friends and we danced the night away before heading back to Charlbury, a small town not far from the festival. We stayed at the beautiful Bull Inn for two nights which was perfectly located. The room had everything that I want when I ever go away; a bath (stocked with neals yard products), the comfiest bed that you can just sink in to and a fully stocked mini bar – the dream!

Till’ next year the Big Feastival….
