Where To Eat In New York

I visited New York a couple of years a go and I fell in love with the city. I was lucky enough to return with my twin sister earlier on this year. We had the most incredible trip and experienced a proper snowy New York. As you know I’m a foodie and when visiting new places I like to do my research on the best places to eat and drink. I really wanted to do this foodie post to help out any of you who are visiting New York soon. Not all the places we visited our in this blog post, the places that are, are the places I would 100% recommend or return back too. I’ve also included some photos of snowy New York.

Best Brunch/Breakfast

Clinton Street Baking Company  (4 Clinton Street)

If your a big fan of pancakes like me, you need to visit this place when visiting New York. There’s lots of great choices on the menu, I ordered the chocolate chunk pancakes with maple butter, if you go order the pancakes they have lots of different toppings you can choose from.

Jack’s Wife Freda (Soho & West Village)

This place was recommended to me by one of my good friends. We had a cosy little table inside to hibernate from the cold/snow. I ordered poached eggs with sundried tomatoes and halloumi cheese. The food was fresh, healthy and full of flavour. I also loved the cute interior inside.

Best Bakery:

Magnolia Bakery ( there are a few of these around Manhattan)

I don’t know many people who haven’t visited Magnolia Bakery when visiting New York. It’s kind of a tourist spot, but also really popular with locals too as the cakes are to die for. I can never just pick one cupcake as there’s so many different ones to choose from.

Best Burger:

The Spotted Pig (Address: 314 W 11th St)

I’d heard rave reviews about The Spotted Pig and how amazing their burgers were so couldn’t pass an opportunity to try them. Below is The Chargrilled Burger with Roquefort Cheese and Shoestring Fries, served medium rare, in a brioche bun. It was a thumbs up from me 🙂

Best Steak

Benjamin Steakhouse

The two times I’ve visited New York, I’ve booked a table at Benjamin Steakhouse. We ordered the steak for two with a couple of sides, creamed spinach and some Benjamin home fries. It was so delicious, if you love steak and our visiting NYC then book in and reserve a table.

Best Doughnuts

Dough (14 W 19th Street)

I wanted to try some real big and tasty doughnuts whilst in New York and whilst looking Dough kept on popping up. The dough was intensely fluffy, we went for Mocha Almond Crunch, Hibiscus and Dulce de Almond. Pure heaven.

That’s it for my foodie recommendations, I can’t wait to go back and add more to this post. Let me know in the comments where I should visit next time I go and also let me know if you visit any of these places and what you think. G xx
