A Sunday in East London

There couldn’t be a brighter or sweeter smelling way to start a Sunday than stroll down Columbia Road Flower Market. The flower market is on every Sunday and is there without fail in the sunshine, wind or rain. It does get really busy, so prepare yourself for crowds of people, the earlier you get there the better. There’s also lots of independent shops and places to stop for coffee during the week, the Lily Vanille Bakery is a favourite of mine.

A favourite coffee shop of mine is Paper & Cup, it’s defintely a spot to cosy up in and take a break from the busyness of the flower market. It’s a charity book and coffeeshop set up to help homeless people in the community.  Full of friendly staff, serving great coffee and you can also choose from a range of delicious treats if you’re feeling naughty.

After a leisurley morning, we stopped by Cecconi’s on Redchurch street to indulge in their SUNDAY FEAST offering. From 12 pm – 5 pm every Sunday the Cecconi’s Shoreditch transforms into an all-you-can-eat buffet. You can choose from plenty of pasta dishes, pizza, cicchetti, roast dinner, salads, not forgetting the mammoth dessert table of dreams! It’s such good value and priced at £30 pp or £36 pp including a glass of prosecco or Bloody Mary, you really can’t go wrong. It doesn’t end there, they have a really great live band playing whilst you feast.

I was so ready for a nap after this. What’s your favourite thing to do in East London? G xxx
