Checking in: Lime Tree Hotel in Belgravia

Last weekend, my husband Jonny, and I had a little overnight staycation. I get asked a lot of the time, where is an affordable place to stay in London, I usually don’t have very many suggestions because it’s rare for me to stay in a hotel in my home city.  I’ve now found just the place I can now recommend to you all.

Last weekend I had the pleasure of staying at the beautiful Lime Tree Hotel in Belgravia. What a lovely, cosy, well-located hotel. It was great to visit and explore a part of London I don’t visit too often as well.

It’s a 28 bedroom townhouse, it felt a lot smaller like an intimate, luxury B&B. We stayed in a generous double sized room, with large Georgian windows overlooking the pretty streets of Belgravia. I fell in love with the decor and colour palette of the room, it had beautiful high ceilings and gorgeous furnishings. I can confirm the beds are really comfortable and the pure cotton linen sheets, made it incredibly hard for us to leave the next morning. It had a good size walk-in shower stocked nicely with Bramley toiletries.

Breakfast the next morning was served in The Buttery cafe, which is part of the hotel. They serve brunch as well as homemade cake and savoury treats Tuesday – Sunday, which is available to hotel guests and non-residents. Some of the menu options included a Full English Breakfast, smoked salmon and eggs, avocado toast and not forgetting the indulgent nutella french toast if you’re feeling like something sweet. It was the perfect start to the morning, hiding indoors from the rain in such a comfortable, relaxing setting.

A very short and sweet stay, and one I would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of booking a hotel in London.

Standard rooms at Lime Tree Hotel start from £150.

This stay was gifted, but all opinions are my own, and I certainly wouldn’t have posted about it had I not had an amazing time.
