Pergola On The Roof

Pergola On The Roof

Now roof top season is finally going to be here, hopefully. Pergola on the roof in Paddington has returned for summer. It will be open for lunch and dinner through to Wednesday to Sunday from now to October. It’s set over two beautifully decorated floors with two large open bars and seating for 850 people. It’s perfect for all occasions, me and my sister headed here on a Friday night to enjoy a couple of cocktails and some food.

Things to do in Walthamstow

Things to do in Walthamstow

Walthamstow, otherwise known as awesomestow is known for a number of great attractions.  After living in Walthamstow for a year now, I feel I’ve really got to know the area and what it has to offer. Located in East London, it’s the final stop on the Victoria line( which means you always get a seat on the tube). I thought I would share with you my guide to Walthamstow, sharing my favourite places to eat and drink, places to shop and things to do.

Launch of STK London & Scotch

I was kindly invited to the launch of STK & Scotch, a modern steakhouse in London. It introduces a unique pairing menu in collaboration with Glenfiddich single malt Scotch Whisky. Created by STK London’s Culinary Director Barry Vera and Gelnfiddich’s UK Brand Ambassador Mark Thomson; The idea of the tasting menu is to explore the unique flavour profiles and pairings between the iconic single malt Scotch whisky and STK renowned USDA steak.

What’s On In London: July

What’s On In London: July

Night Tales, 1-2 Hepscott Road, E9 5AH – It’s back, one of London’s popular pop – ups. It’s running for ten weeks every Friday and Saturday night until the 27th August at a new location Hackney Wick. It’s a great summer hang out, I went last weekend for their opening and can see why it gets popular. The new set- up includes a sun terrace, private booths, dance floor and several different bars where you can choose from Coco’s Rum Shack, Thai Beer Bar and their tropical cocktail bar!

World Gin Day – Junipalooza at Tobacco Dock

World Gin Day – Junipalooza at Tobacco Dock

World Gin Day returned yesterday June 11th, and so did London’s international celebration of the juniper – flavoured spirit: Junipalooza. The festival is now in it’s third year and was held at Tobacco Dock. I have a lot of love for gin and an interest in the production and the different varieties it can come in, with widely varying chemical compositions. All gins must be flavoured by juniper berries, but many other ingredients, including coriander, dry citrus peel, almonds and nutmeg can also be incorporated.

Top Markets in London

Top Markets in London

Columbia Road Flower Market – this is a street market in East London. It has a mixture of victorian shops and is known for it’s flower market. This quickly became one of my favourite places to go on a Sunday, it opens from 8am and tends to wind down about 15.00pm. Flowers make me happy, like they really do.
