I attended an event last week where I was invited to go along to a masterclass in which I got to create an Italian ‘Edible Bouquet’. It focused on the best of Italian herbs & flowers, whilst showcasing ASK Italian’s new Spring menu which has launched this month.
We got given our tub of fresh flowers & herbs courtesy of Rebel Rebel we grabbed our apron and started working on our flower arranging. Rebel Rebel guided us through the stages of creating ‘La Dolce Vita’ bouquet . I used a mixture of mimosa, rosemary & pea, foliage, yellow courgette flower, chamomile, olive & mint, blossom & the most beautiful pink roses. The finished bouquet I was pretty impressed with, I never knew flower arranging could be so therapeutic. Went away with some useful tips that I can use next time when I’m flower arranging!
We then sat and enjoyed a three-course meal, trying the delicious new dishes on the Spring menu. To start, I had the pea and ricotta souffle, followed by purple basil pesto tagliatelle. Would highly recommend saving room for the warm cookie & salted caramel gelato, so delightful.
Ask Italian are hosting edible bouquet masterclasses, in which you can have the opportunity to learn how to make these bouquets and enjoy a three-course meal for £19.95. The events will take place across three nights (one night in each location) in three locations around the UK (London, Leeds, Liverpool). You can book your spot here via the Eventbrite link. It would make the perfect Mother’s Day gift. Really hope this has inspired you to step in to Spring this Mother’s Day!
