Mornings with Yes! Bar at 26 Grains

This week, I was kindly sponsored by YES! to attend a very special breakfast event to celebrate the launch of the new wholesome snack bar range. It was held at one my favourite spots in London, 26 Grains situated in Neal’s Yard, Covent Garden. The ethos of 26 Grains, a healthy food café, reflects the healthy and delicious philosophy behind the new YES! range.

Each of the five YES! bars feature creative combinations of exciting ingredients. My favourite out of the five bars is the dark chocolate, sea salt & almond bar – full of wholesome ingredients that taste really great together. The new range consists of two fruit/veg bars and three nut bars. The combination of all the flavours of the five bars work really well together.

We enjoyed a delicious five course breakfast where each dish was inspired by ingredients in the YES! range. Started off with a sea salt & dark chocolate almond hot chocolate which was heavenly, packed full of flavour and I loved the sweet and salty flavour coming through. Any guesses for which bar this represents?! Next up which was a highlight for me was the cranberry jam, peanut butter, cacao nibs on sourdough toast which described the cranberry and dark chocolate YES! bar. The fruit bars are vegan friendly and lactose free. The nut bars are suitable for vegetarians, and all bars are gluten free.

Another one of the dishes served was poached eggs, mandolin beetroot, mandolin apple, spinach, hollandaise and roasted almonds. This resembled the beetroot & apple fruit bar and it was delicious. All the bars taste great, and I was surprised to hear the fruit bars have no added sugar and the fruit bars counts towards one of your five a day. I can’t wait to get my hands on some of these bars, they are already available in some UK leading supermarkets.

What a great way to start a Tuesday morning. How’s your week going so far?

G xx
