Puglian Food Heaven In London

After travelling through Puglia last month, I instantly fell in love with the local cuisine. On my return back to London I was excited to discover Casa Tua restaurant. A restaurant that prides itself on serving traditional Puglian dishes. Casa Tua is a small, intimate and pleasant spot just a short walk from Camden station. We were welcomed by the owner Giuseppe who originates from Salento, Puglia. His passion shone through instantly and we were all excitedly talking about the Italian region for some time before sitting at our table.

Stepping inside took me back to Puglia! Helping add to the atmosphere was a group of Italians – clearly regulars, enjoying Aperol Spritz. Of course, we had to join in…

We didn’t hold back and ordered a variety of dishes.

For a change.

Starting with bruschetta toasted with freshly chopped tomatoes and oregano. Of course!

Followed by spicy stewed octopus, potatoes and celery which melted in my mouth. Very popular dish in Casa Tua.

Marinated salmon with broccoli and quinoa. YUM.

Lasagna with layers of cooked celeriac slices, cumin bechamel, turmeric and mozzarella. The perfect blend and balance of flavours, I could eat plates of the stuff!

Delicious burrata cheese, rocket and parmesan biscotto.

We shared a few pasta dishes, as it’s the Italian way. That’s a totally valid excuse, right?

Orecchiette with spicy broccoli puree, crumbles tarallo. A classic.

Tortellini with mortadella sausage.

My favourite.

Spicy nduja gnocchi with scamorza cream, packed with a serious kick.

We finished off with a pasticciotto leccese, an Italian pastry filled with egg custard. Simply delicious!

You HAVE to try Casa Tua! A truly 5 star experience. Authentic Puglian cuisine and impeccable hospitality.Take a friend, partner or a group of people and tuck away downstairs.

Open Tue,Wed, Sun from 8am-5pm and all day until 11pm Thurs-Sat. Find them here in Camden & they also have a King’s Cross restaurant.
