MY FAVOURITE DATE NIGHT RESTAURANTS IN LONDON

I thought I would write a blog post on my absolute favourite spots for a romantic night out in London. I get lots of dm’s asking me where I could take my partner so hopefully, this post will help and I hope you enjoy my recommendations. Please let me know in the comments if you have any, I love checking out new places.

Bar Douro – 35B, Arch, 85B Southwark Bridge Road, SE1 0NQ

This rustic restaurant is a new discovery and I absolutely loved every minute of it. Serving traditional Portuguese sharing plates and fantastic organic wine. It’s got a great atmosphere, very chilled and laid back.

Maggie Jones – 6 Old Ct Pl, Kensington, London W8 4PL

I’m still lusting over my lunch here. A photo will never do this place justice, the restaurant is themed like an old barn filled with baskets, beehives, rustic furniture and dried flowers. Not to forget the delicious menu full of classic, comforting dishes! During the week you can order off the lunch menu where you can get three courses for £23. I had french onion soup to start, pork belly with creamy mash and apple sauce for main, followed by bread and butter pudding with custard. Perfect restaurant for a date night.

Blanchette – 9 D’Arblay St, Soho, W1F 8DR

This is the perfect place for sharing a romantic meal for two. A new discovery but one I fell in love with straight away. The menu focuses on French bistro dishes with a modern twist and every dish tasted so damn good. The dim lighting and gorgeous, cosy interiors make for a pretty good date night. Go, go, go!

Casa Tua – 106 Cromer Street, WC1H 8BZ

I love Italian food and sometimes I find it hard to find really good authentic Italian. After visiting Puglia a couple of years ago I found this gem in London which focused on that particular part of Italy. It has a pretty casual, homely feel which is lovely. Very chilled and relaxed.

Heritage – 18-20 Rupert Street, W1D 6DF

This restaurant has a Swiss menu including fondue, rösti & steak. It’s something a bit different on a date night, you can cook your own Chateaubriand on a charcoal grill. Make sure you share the chocolate fondue, heavenly.

Angelina – 56 Dalston Lane, Dalston, E8 3AH

This is pretty much the perfect date night spot for me. Serving Italian/Japanese fusion tasting menu alongside stunning wines.

Meraki – 80-82 Great Titchfield St, Fitzrovia, W1W 7QT

This is an amazing Greek restaurant in Fitzrovia. If you’re a fan of Greek cuisine, this is the spot for you. The food is absolutely incredible and the service is top-notch. My favourite dishes, spinach pie, prawn ceviche and souvlaki.

Polpo – 6 Maiden Lane, Covent Garden, WC2E 7NA

With four restaurants located over London, I love going here on a date-night. Really cosy and gorgeous feel to their restaurants. They serve awesome Venetian tapas, including stuffed fried olives, and chilli & crab linguine. Def worth a visit.
