Treves & Hyde

On Friday night Jonny & I were given the opportunity to sample the evening food menu at the newly opened Treves & Hyde. A restaurant located a few minutes walk from Aldgate East tube station in East London. On arrival I was instantly impressed by the simple but elegant decor, we were seated with a table overlooking the street. The menu is short and sweet, but exquisitely put together by Head Chef, George Tannock who we met shortly after sitting down. His dishes are a work of art, the presentaton and thought that has gone in to each dish speaks for itself. The flavours running through each dish is stunning.

Red pesto arancini & poponcini peppers, brandade & saffron aioli

Venison tartare, truffle & burnt ketchup, carta di musica

Seared tuna, edamame, carrot & nori seaweed crisp

Scallop & seabass ceviche, peas & -8 verjus

Beef brisket, bacon pudding & marinda tomato

Courgette flower, smoked aubergine puree, quinoa pilaf & vadouvan granola

Green Beans & flaked almonds

Sweet potatoes, tahini yoghurt & pomegranate

Valrhona chocolate, tarocco orange & pistachio

Gariguette strawberries, mango & balsamic
