Brunch at Dirty Bones

Last weekend my instagram (@eatinguplondon for those of you who would like to know!) was quite the centre of attention as I had lots of comments and emails asking where I was for brunch. It’s amazing how much attention a bit of egg yolk and waffles have, I don’t blame you for it, it was all super delicious. It was a lazy start to the day and we wandered into the cold and crisp air and made it to Shoreditch just in time for the new Dirty Bones brunch menu.  Although passing the Dirty Bones restaurant in Soho and Kensington many times, I had never been before and was excited to try the New York – inspired comfort food menu. They have a few menus to choose from, but brunch is why we came. It’s Available Saturday and Sunday from 9am-5pm. The atmosphere is lively and fun and it’s somewhere exciting to head for a boozy brunch. Plus they serve large groups as there was a table of ten next to us and a table of six to our right. Located right opposite Shoreditch High Street station, it was a perfect brunch spot to then look around the shops afterwards. We went for the boozy brunch option. Starting with a Dirty Mary their version of a Bloody Mary which was light, fiery and came with a sour cream pringle dusting around the rim. The other being the Prosecco Lexy cocktail…The options for brunch were perfect with lots of sweet and savoury options. We ordered chicken and waffles which were freshly baked which came with a shot of maple syrup. The other dish being bacon and eggs topped with smoked cheddar sauce and mustard – both delicious.  We then indulged in waffles. One topped with berrries and the other with caramelised banana and toblerone – simply heaven on a plate.I can’t wait to go back,  if you haven’t been to Dirty Bones yet, you must! Meet you there? G xx
